VTU Promotes Even Semester Students – Complete Information
As per the guidelines issued by University Grants Commission (UGC), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), and the State government, the students studying in the second, fourth, and sixth semester of BE/BTech/BPlan, eighth semester of BArch, the second semester of MArch/ MBA/MTech and second and fourth semester of MCA and MTech (part-time) are promoted without exams.
VTU will process the results of these students based on the marks obtained by them in previous semesters and the current semester internal Assessments.
Backlog students will have to appear for offline examination.
University would conduct the remaining examinations of the first semester in offline mode from July 27.
The eighth-semester examination of BE/BTech/BPlan, fourth-semester examination of MArch/MBA/ MTech, and sixth-semester examination of MCA schedule has been notified and would be conducted offline mode with open choice question paper pattern.
Project, seminar, internship, and practical viva-voce examinations would be conducted in online mode.

VTU Update 09-12-2020 (Draft Time Table)
The draft layout time tables of the University examinations to be held at the end of the odd semesters (January/February 2021) of B.E./ B.Tech./ M.Tech./MBA/MCA courses are published on the VTU Website for the perusal and comments of all the people concerned.
The draft timetables are in accordance with the academic calendar issued by the Registrar, VTU. The Time tables for B.E./B.Tech. I/II Sem, B.Arch., M.Arch., will be announced later.
The Principals of all the affiliated engineering colleges are requested to arrange for the perusal/inspection of the time tables for any overlap of examinations, especially in the case of students who are shifted from any old scheme to the new scheme. The same may be brought to the notice of the undersigned for correction. Suggestions/comments are welcome, but positively on or before 21-12-2020.
All the concerned people are therefore requested to go through the draft layout time table and offer their suggestions. Suggestions/Comments forwarded only through respective Principals will be considered. Suggestions may be given through email at qpds2@vtu.ac.in.
