Module 1 – Basic Concepts and Resonant Circuits
Following are the contents of module 1 – Basic Concepts and Resonant Circuits
Active and passive elements of Electric Circuit, Concept of ideal and practical sources Electric Circuit. Source transformation and shifting Electric Circuit analysis. Analysis of simple series Resonant Circuits and parallel Resonant Circuits under resonances.
Module 2 – Network Theorems
Following are the contents of module 2 – Network Theorems
Analysis of networks with and without dependent analog circuits and digital circuits sources by Thevenin’s and Norton’s theorems. Analysis of analog circuits and digital circuits for maximum power transfer to restrictive and complex loads. Application of Millman’s, Reciprocity theorem and Super Position theorem to multi-source networks.
Module 3 – Transient Analysis
Following are the contents of module 3 – Transient Analysis
Review of ordinary linear non-homogeneous first and 2nd order differential equations with constant coefficients. Transient analysis of dc circuits by classical method for unit step input only.
Module 4 – Laplace Transformation
Following are the contents of module 4 – Laplace Transformation
Laplace transformation, Laplace Transformation of Impulse, Step, Ramp, Sinusoidal signals, and shifted functions.
Module 5 – Unbalanced Three-phase systems
Following are the contents of module 5 – Unbalanced Three-phase systems
Introduction, basic concepts, and principles of unbalanced 3-phase systems, Two-Port networks and Complex Wave analysis.
